My high school journalism teacher taught us never to take photographs of signs. One should be able to look at an image and have a better idea of what's going on than what a sign can offer them. A picture is worth a thousand words, after all. That, and photos of signs can be just plain boring (see below).
I have a tendency to agree with him but signs seem to be a reoccurring theme on this trip.
